Leadership in Multinational Corporations: A Mixed-Methods Study of Organizational Practices Across Borders

Abstract

Leadership in MNCs is focused in current study and how these practices are implemented in different cultural settings. Hence, MNCs are conducting business in an increasingly global environment, which demands effective leadership across cultural and geographical boundaries for coherence, performance, and a robust organizational culture.​ This paper is central to the exploration of the difficulties that multinational leaders face and how they use their practices to successfully lead diverse teams, align global goals, and help employees collaborate across borders.

The past research has shown that there is the need for Leadership in MNCs to attain corporate success in multicultural environments. It gives other insights into how the differences in leading styles are perceived within the performance, engagement, and satisfaction of the employees. Leadership complexity entails the dynamic relationship between varying cultural expectations and practices in the context of MNCs.

This study bridges the gap by employing a mixed-methods approach: quantitative surveys in combination with qualitative case studies. The quantitative surveys assess the interaction of various styles of leadership, namely transformational, transactional, and cross-cultural, to determine the impact on employee satisfaction and achievement of corporate goals in different regions. Meanwhile, the qualitative interviews conducted with senior leaders provide insight into the finer details of cross-cultural communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution in practice.

The findings revealed critical insights regarding the adaptability of the styles of Leadership in MNCs. Moreover their implications for organizational outcomes in diverse settings. Moreover the results provided important practical recommendations for global leaders. On how to build their leadership frameworks to encourage collaboration and drive performance in an increasingly complex global marketplace. The underlying research on effective leadership practices aims to contribute significantly to existing literature. Therefore, it helps MNCs to cultivate strong leadership strategies tailored to the multiple operational landscapes of the organization.
