Abstract

The adoption of green practices in healthcare settings that are addressed in this study. However, it is related to energy efficiency, waste reduction, and eco-friendly materials. The growing environmental concerns witness the healthcare facilities looking for sustainable solutions. For instance, it decreases the ecological footprint along with providing a high standard of patient care. Healthcare facilities require reducing carbon emissions, enhancing resource efficiency, lowering operational costs, and deploying green practices. However, issues exist that include a lack of finances, regulatory challenges, and organizational culture that influence the success of sustainability initiatives.

The study combines quantitative and qualitative analysis and particularly focuses on sustainability using mixed methods. The use of the quantitative component helps to measure important environmental performance indicators. For example, it includes energy consumption, waste recycling rate, and carbon emissions. Besides, it consists of green practices related to staff well-being and patients, and expenses in operations.  Moreover, the qualitative aspect of the study includes interviewing healthcare, administrators, staff, and sustainability experts. Their insights offer insights related to practicing sustainability and some ways to improve.

Therefore, the study also provides practical recommendations to improve the sustainability of healthcare facilities. The study demonstrates factors to reduce financial barriers; improve an eco-conscious culture and deploy policies. Henceforth, the goals of sustainability will enable healthcare organizations to realize long-term benefits. In addition, research aims to emphasize that sustainable healthcare improves operational efficiency and staff satisfaction. In conclusion, the initiatives are dedicated to the adoption of innovations and the provision of policy support that helps to support healthcare more sustainably.
