Abstract

The health equity refers to the facilitating the right of fair and equal opportunity for everyone.  It provides quality healthcare irrespective of their occupation, financial status, education, background, race and gender. Health is a basic right for everyone so the health equity in the healthcare access makes sure everyone has a fair opportunity to use their rights. Moreover this report analyses the health equity in the rural and urban areas. This report differentiates the health care facilities that are being provided in the rural and urban regions. It also explore the aspects such as the economical and geological elements that influence in inequality of the healthcare services.

The mixed-method research methodology provides a structured view on the concept of it. Its availability in both the countryside and the cities and provides the valuable data required for the report. This research analysis determines the various factors that shows the efficient availability of the equal healthcare opportunities. However these factors include the facilities of healthcare that are being provided, delay in the treatment of patients and insurance coverage of the treatment. By analyzing these above factors individually and comparing them in both the regions the dissimilarities in the health equity is determined.

The mixed-method research approach enables the detailed insights on the healthcare availability experiences of the individuals by conducting the surveys and discussions with the health facility providers and the patients in the both rural and urban areas. However this research methodology facilitated the valuable information on the challenges and inequalities faced by the individuals. The purpose of this report is to provide recommendations to the healthcare providers to maintain the  equity regarding the healthcare facilities. This report also intends to help the healthcare policy makers. To devise better policies to reduce the dissimilarities in the medical treatments regarding the patients.
